Why we're building this
Work is fragmented across calendars, chats, docs, and boards, and the context that ties it together evaporates in the gaps. AI got bolted onto these tools as a chatbot instead of being embedded in how work is organized. And an entire class of teams — legal, healthcare, finance, enterprises with strict data policies — is locked out of modern tools altogether because their data can't live in someone else's cloud.
Otopic is our answer to all three: an AI-native project brain where the Topic is the durable unit of work, simple enough that an SME team is productive on day one, and deployable into the customer's own AWS organization when sovereignty is non-negotiable.
